Overview
Is your 5.7L HEMI experiencing persistent valvetrain ticking, recurring misfires, rough idle, reduced power, or oil and coolant leaks around engine sealing surfaces? These symptoms can have several causes, so confirm camshaft and lifter wear, oil pressure, and gasket condition before ordering.
This new aftermarket repair kit is designed for select 2009–2019 Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles equipped with a 5.7L V8 HEMI engine, MDS cylinder deactivation, and VVT. It combines a replacement camshaft, hydraulic roller lifters and guides, cylinder-head gasket components, head bolts, and a lower-engine gasket set for repairs involving valvetrain service and engine resealing during the same teardown. The camshaft controls valve movement, the MDS-compatible lifter assemblies support normal valvetrain operation and commanded cylinder deactivation, and the gasket components reseal surfaces opened during engine disassembly.

Important Fitment Notes
- Fits MDS-equipped engines only.
- Does not fit Non-MDS engines or MDS-delete conversions.
- Some 5.7L Challenger applications use a Non-MDS configuration; verify the transmission and engine configuration before ordering.
- Do not order by year, model, and engine size alone.
- Confirm the VIN, engine code, build date, MDS/VVT configuration, camshaft and lifter design, and gasket layout before purchase.
Installation Note
Professional installation is recommended. During installation, inspect the rocker arms, pushrods, lifter bores, cam phaser, timing components, oil passages, and engine oil pressure. Remove any metal debris and follow the vehicle-specific timing, torque, lubrication, and oil-priming procedures.
