This aftermarket 5.3L AFM/DOD Camshaft & Lifter Kit is configured for listed GM 5.3L V8 applications that retain the factory Active Fuel Management/Displacement on Demand system. The package pairs an AFM/DOD-compatible camshaft with eight AFM hydraulic roller lifters, eight standard hydraulic roller lifters, and four lifter trays. Its mixed lifter layout matches the factory AFM valvetrain architecture; it is not a Non-AFM camshaft kit or an AFM-delete conversion package.

The 5.3L AFM/DOD Camshaft & Lifter Kit also includes the cylinder-head and front-cover sealing parts used during the same valvetrain service. Two MLS head gaskets, 30 cylinder-head bolts, valve-cover and manifold gaskets, valve-stem seals, a front camshaft seal, timing-cover gaskets, and small O-rings are included in the defined sales package. Diagnosis, oil-supply condition, electronic controls, calibration, and components outside the stated package remain separate considerations.
