This 5.7L HEMI MDS Camshaft, Lifters & Head Gasket Kit is designed for listed 2009–2018 Dodge Ram and Ram 2500/3500 applications equipped with a compatible 5.7L V8 HEMI engine and MDS cylinder-deactivation valvetrain.
The camshaft controls valve timing and lift, while the MDS lifters operate within the cylinder-deactivation system. When camshaft or lifter wear has been confirmed, replacing the related valvetrain components and installing new head-gasket components during cylinder-head reassembly supports proper valve operation and engine sealing. This kit is intended for MDS-equipped engines only and is not suitable for a Non-MDS valvetrain configuration.
