The service scope centers on the camshaft, lifter style, timing interface, and engine-control configuration defined for this kit.
During operation, the camshaft establishes valve timing and lift while the matched lifters transfer lobe motion through the valvetrain. Inspection commonly follows persistent valvetrain ticking, cylinder-specific misfires, a rough idle, or measured cam and lifter wear. The same inspection should cover the cam lobes, lifter rollers, pushrods, rocker arms, valve springs, oil passages, and timing components because wear or damage there can affect the replacement. Use assembly lubricant, verify valvetrain clearances, align the timing drive, torque the fasteners correctly, and follow the required start-up procedure. Install this LS Camshaft & Lifter Kit only in the stated component position and configuration.
