The service scope centers on the stated crankshaft, rod, bearing, journal, and engine configuration included in the kit.
During operation, the crankshaft and matched rotating-assembly components convert piston motion into rotary output through controlled bearing clearances. Inspection commonly follows journal damage, bearing failure, rod distortion, excessive clearance, or rotating-assembly wear. The same inspection should cover the main and rod bearings, journals, thrust surfaces, connecting rods, pistons, and oil clearances because wear or damage there can affect the replacement. Measure journals, bearing clearances, thrust, and runout; clean the oil passages, use assembly lubricant, and follow the required main-cap and rod-fastener procedures. Install this 3.3L Crankshaft & Connecting Rod Kit only in the stated component position and configuration. The crankshaft converts piston movement into rotational output while maintaining the bearing and connecting-rod journal interfaces used by the rotating assembly.
