This assembly is intended for repairs after a technician identifies coolant leakage at the pump, bearing noise, shaft play, or reduced coolant circulation. Overheating and coolant loss can also be caused by hoses, the radiator, thermostat, cap, or another component, so the cooling system should be diagnosed before parts are ordered.
