This 5.7L HEMI Non-MDS Camshaft Lifters Head Gasket Kit is designed for listed 2009–2010 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2011–2019 Ram 1500 trucks equipped with the 5.7L V8 HEMI engine and a Non-MDS valvetrain configuration. It combines the camshaft, lifter components, and head gasket components for engine repairs that involve valvetrain service and upper-engine sealing work.
The camshaft controls valve timing, while the lifters transfer camshaft movement to the valvetrain during engine operation. When camshaft lobes or lifters show confirmed wear, replacing the related head gasket components during the same teardown can help support a more complete upper-engine repair. This kit is intended for Non-MDS 5.7L HEMI applications and should not be used for an MDS valvetrain configuration.
