The service scope centers on the stated overall length, diameter, end style, wall thickness, engine family, and package quantity.
During operation, the push rod transfers lifter motion to the rocker arm so the valve can follow the camshaft profile. Inspection commonly follows a bent tube, worn ends, incorrect geometry, or a valvetrain combination requiring the stated length. The same inspection should cover the lifters, rocker arms, guide plates, valve springs, and pushrod length and clearance because wear or damage there can affect the replacement. Follow the application-specific service procedure for lubrication, timing alignment, fastener torque, and initial start-up checks.
