Fits GM 5.3L V8 engines used in Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Isuzu and Saab applications from 2005 to 2014.

This kit is used in service situations where camshaft and lifter wear has affected valvetrain operation. In 5.3L LS engines, camshaft lobes and lifters operate under continuous contact. Once wear begins, both components typically require replacement to maintain proper surface interaction.

During teardown, this condition is commonly identified in higher mileage engines or where lubrication conditions have affected lifter operation. In AFM-equipped engines, lifter collapse or improper oil control can accelerate camshaft wear and affect cylinder deactivation function.

This kit provides replacement camshaft and lifters to restore proper valvetrain operation. When servicing these engines, replacing camshaft and lifters together helps maintain correct contact patterns and reduces the likelihood of repeat wear after installation.

Applicable across multiple GM platforms including truck, SUV, and mid-size applications sharing the 5.3L V8 architecture.

Inspection of oiling system and related valvetrain components is recommended during installation.
