Overview
Is your 5.7L HEMI experiencing a persistent valvetrain tick, recurring misfire, rough idle, reduced power, or MDS operation problems? These symptoms may be related to camshaft or lifter wear, but exhaust leaks, rocker-arm damage, oil-pressure problems, timing faults, or ignition issues can produce similar symptoms. Proper diagnosis is recommended before replacement.
This aftermarket repair kit is designed for select 2009–2018 Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles equipped with a 5.7L V8 HEMI engine, MDS cylinder deactivation, and VVT. It combines the camshaft and hydraulic roller lifter components with cylinder-head sealing parts for repairs requiring cylinder-head removal. The camshaft controls valve movement, while the lifters transfer cam-lobe motion through the valvetrain and support the existing MDS operating configuration.
