5.4L 3V Timing Chain Kit with Phasers, Oil & Water Pumps is a comprehensive front-engine service kit for Ford and Lincoln 5.4L SOHC 24-valve Triton applications retaining the factory VCT system. It combines the timing drive, cam-phasing components, lubrication pump, cooling pump and front-engine seals for repairs involving worn chains, damaged guides or tensioners, cam-phaser noise, VCT faults, oil-pump service or water-pump replacement.
The two timing chains synchronize the crankshaft with both camshafts, while the hydraulic tensioners and guides control chain movement. Oil-operated cam phasers and VCT solenoids regulate cam timing, the oil pump supplies the lubrication circuit, and the small-hub water pump circulates engine coolant.
Features
- Factory VCT 3-Valve Configuration: Designed for 5.4L SOHC 24-valve Triton engines retaining factory variable cam timing; not for 2-valve, 4-valve or fixed-phaser lockout configurations.
- Dual Cam-Phaser Service Scope: Includes left and right cam phaser sprockets, mounting bolts, camshaft spacers and VCT oil-control solenoids.
- Complete Dual-Chain Drive: Includes two 122-link timing chains, four guides, left and right hydraulic tensioners and a double-row crankshaft sprocket.
- 24mm-Inlet Oil Pump: Includes a front-mounted oil pump with a 24mm (15/16-inch) inlet.
- M30 Small-Hub Water Pump: Supplied with the small-hub water-pump configuration shown in the product photos.
- Front-Engine Sealing Components: Includes valve-cover gaskets, timing-cover gaskets and seals, oil-control-valve seals, a front crankshaft seal and high-temperature RTV.
