This aftermarket 5.3L AFM Delete Camshaft Lifter Kit is designed for listed GM 5.3L V8 applications being converted from the factory AFM/DOD valve-train configuration to a conventional non-AFM hydraulic roller lifter setup.
The package includes one non-AFM camshaft, 16 conventional hydraulicroller lifters, four non-AFM lifter guide trays, an MLS head gasket set,a head bolt set, a timing cover gasket set, a valley cover gasket and related installation hardware.
This conversion package is intended for upper-engine repairs where the camshaft, lifters, guide trays, cylinder-head sealing components and front-cover gaskets are serviced during the same teardown. It is not a like-for-like repair kit that retains factory AFM cylinder-deactivation operation.
