Water Pump & Gasket is designed for 2014-2021 Dodge Ram ProMaster 1500 V6 and supports cooling-system service after bearing, seal, impeller, or housing wear has been diagnosed. The service scope centers on the stated pump housing, drive arrangement, pulley, gasket, and cooling-passage interface.
During operation, the driven impeller circulates coolant between the engine and radiator so heat can be transferred out of the engine. Inspection commonly follows coolant leakage at the pump, bearing noise, shaft play, impeller damage, or housing corrosion. The same inspection should cover the pulley or drive, thermostat, hoses, coolant passages, mounting surface, and cooling-system seals because wear or damage there can affect the replacement. Clean the mounting surface, install the specified seal or gasket, refill and bleed the cooling system, and inspect for leaks after warm-up.
