Shop replacement shocks and struts for selected cars, trucks, and SUVs. SUSUCAR offers front and rear suspension components for repairing worn dampers, leaking struts, excessive bouncing, unstable handling, and reduced ride control.
This collection includes conventional shock absorbers, loaded strut assemblies, electronic damping replacements, Magnetic Ride Control components, EDC struts, XREAS shocks, rear air-leveling shocks, and complete front-and-rear suspension kits.
Shop by Product Type
-
Shock Absorbers: Control spring movement and reduce bouncing without serving as a structural suspension component.
-
Strut Assemblies: Combine suspension damping with structural support at the wheel.
-
Loaded Strut Assemblies: Include the strut and the additional pre-assembled components shown in the applicable product listing.
-
Electronic Shocks and Struts: Designed for compatible factory-controlled suspension systems such as EDC, F45, and variable damping.
-
Magnetic Ride Components: Replacement shocks and struts for vehicles equipped with compatible Magnetic Ride Control systems.
-
Air-Leveling Shocks: Support compatible rear leveling or air-assisted suspension configurations.
-
Shock and Strut Kits: Include multiple front, rear, left, or right components for a more complete suspension repair.
Shocks vs. Struts
Although shocks and struts both control suspension movement, they are not interchangeable.
A shock absorber primarily controls the movement of the suspension spring. A strut performs the same damping function while also forming part of the vehicle’s structural suspension assembly. Replacing one with the other is not possible unless the vehicle was specifically designed for that configuration.
Common Signs of Worn Shocks or Struts
Replacement may be needed when the vehicle exhibits:
-
Excessive bouncing after driving over bumps
-
Nose-diving while braking
-
Increased body roll during turns
-
Fluid leaking from a shock or strut
-
Clunking or knocking from the suspension
-
Uneven or accelerated tire wear
-
Reduced stability on rough roads
-
Warning messages related to an electronic suspension system
These symptoms can have more than one cause, so the suspension should be inspected before parts are ordered.
How to Choose the Correct Replacement
Before purchasing shocks and struts, confirm:
-
Year, Make, and Model
-
Front or Rear Position
-
Left, Right, or Both Sides
-
Drivetrain, Engine, and Trim When Required
-
Electronic or Non-Electronic Suspension
-
Magnetic Ride, EDC, F45, XREAS, Air-Leveling, or Conventional Suspension
-
Quantity and Included Components
A similar-looking part may use a different connector, mounting point, damping system, or suspension configuration. Review the complete vehicle fitment, product specifications, package contents, and exclusion notes on the individual product page before ordering.
FAQs
Should shocks and struts be replaced in pairs?
Replacing left and right suspension dampers together is commonly recommended when both have similar mileage and wear. However, the correct repair depends on the condition of the vehicle and the components included in the selected product.
Does every strut assembly include a coil spring and upper mount?
No. A bare strut and a loaded strut assembly contain different components. Only consider a spring, upper mount, bearing, or related hardware included when it is specifically listed in the product description and package contents.
Can an electronic shock be replaced with a conventional shock?
Not without confirming the complete suspension configuration. Vehicles equipped with electronic damping, Magnetic Ride Control, EDC, F45, XREAS, or air-leveling systems may require system-specific components or additional conversion parts.
